Anne was absolutely incredible to work with from the first time I contacted her. When we first met I had no clear idea of what I really wanted but she was able to draw out of me exactly what I wanted by showing me pictures of her design/work and just with few simple words. Everything she made was absolutely beautiful: the bridal bouquet, 2 mother's corsages, 3 boutonnieres, 2 big flower pedestals for the ceremony & the small vases & floating candle votives for the welcoming table. Not only were all the flowers beautiful but the attention to all the other details was incredible. i really wanted something classy, elegant but simple and she managed to somehow pull off everything with her creativity. Anne is kind and really listens, she works with your budget(which is a plus!), she is wonderfully creative, and she really executes exactly what you want, which in my opinion, makes her the best in the industry!

I just wanted to pop by to let everyone know what a fantastic job you did for our November wedding. You gave us exactly what we wanted (and also what we didn't know we wanted) all while keeping in mind our budget and personal taste. Planning meetings with you were a cinch - you were the ultimate professional! Our wedding day was so beautiful because of all of the little details you put so much thought and care into. I'm so pleased to write a review of my experience with Anne of Blade Floral. She was friendly, thoughtful and so responsive to my requests and desires. I had an idea of a travel themed wedding and wanted to incorporate antique globes and maps into my table and reception decor. She magically turned my ideas into the most beautiful and unique vintage travel inspired design. She created a wonderful compilation of cream and white Fall flowers and collected globes, vases, suite cases and maps and set up each table differently. She transformed an old map into a stand for the place cards and all of my guests spend time gazing at the entrance table. I received so many compliments and was so happy with how it turned out. I hope other brides to be read this early in their search so they can check "florist" off their list. It was perfect.

Anne - Thank you for the beautiful work you did on our wedding. You perfectly created my vision for the flowers and candles and everything I had dreamed of. You were a pleasure to work with throughout the past few months... easy to get in touch with, always willing to meet to discuss details, open to revising ideas. We couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out. We walked into the dining room and it literally blew me away.. one of my favorite moments of the whole night was just looking around the dining/garden room and seeing it all come together. Anne was truly a dream come true. So much fun to collaborate with, reliable and quick to email replies, and enthusiastic throughout the entire process. Not only was she receptive to my design thoughts, but she brought her own original ideas to the table to ultimately create a warm and stunning space for our special day. Everything from the bouquets to the dining tables to the dessert/photo/gift tables -- it was awesome to overhear our guests admiring the look of it all (in AWE) the entire night. Anne proved way more than a florist: she is a design queen, and contracting her for our wedding was one of the best planning decisions we made.

Working with Anne was the most enjoyable part of our wedding planning. She met with us at 5 in the morning right when the flower district was opening business for the day and we walked around to discuss which type of flowers and colors we liked. With that and some pictures, she took it away and nailed it right on the head. The decor and all the flower arrangements were AAA-MAYYY-ZING! It was exactly what we hoped for and much more! She has truly made our wedding so special, romantic, and unforgettable beautiful! THANK YOU ANNE!!!

Anne - We can’t thank you enough for the amazing job you did for our wedding! The bouquets were beautiful and the look that you created throughout the mansion at the Woodlands was more than we could have ever hoped for. I know my mom mentioned it to you but even the General Manager said that you transformed the room and made it look beautiful….The candelabra’s and individual candles created the perfect lighting and the centerpieces were gorgeous! I know a lot of brides use the high centerpieces there and I wanted to be a little different! You did that and more! I have to say, my most favorite piece was the piano/escort card table! I loved how the cards looked like they were on a mossy hill surrounded by our picture frames. It was exactly what I wanted and as you described the day we met. You are the best at what you do - you were honest about which flowers would work based on the season, went way out of your way to meet with us and share ideas and was always so quick to get back to me with answers to my questions! So many of our guests commented on what a beautiful job you did and how long the centerpieces lasted after they took them home! Anne at Blade was wonderful to work with! I would recommend her to other brides when planning their weddings.

I have to say that working with Anne at Blade Floral & Event Designs was a breath of fresh air. I spent more time interviewing with florists than I did any other vendor in NYC, and I was so frustrated by the process. Most of the florists I met with spent over an hour with me to hear about what I wanted, and would send me a very expensive proposal with nothing "concrete" mentioned in their designs, and then never respond back to me when I questioned their proposal. This was not the case with Anne. She was recommended to me by the event coordinator at my wedding venue, Bar Americain. She is incredibly professional. Her correspondence with me was fabulous (she emails you back immediately). Her flowers are just lovely, and she designed flowers for us that were exactly what we had asked for and within my budget ! Don't waste time sitting down with several florists, just meet with Anne. You will not need to look any further. Planning my wedding was a wonderful experience because I chose to work with very talented, intelligent, and humane vendors. We got along exceedingly well and there were no surprises.

Blade was terrific. Anne did a great job managing my vision and my budget. She did a "story board" after our first meeting which was very helpful, its nice to be able to see what you've discussed versus trying to imagine it. I received exactly what I wanted, thanks to Anne's flexibility. Thanks!!

Anne was great, I gave her too many flower ideas, but she took my ideas, and combined them and created some beautiful bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, and the rest of our wedding party and families. She was easy to work with and answered all my emails and phonecalls. I would definitely recommend her.

There is not enough space here for me to write about how wonderful and easy it was to work with Anne, the owner of Blade. Anne was responsible for more than just our flowers (which were absolutely STUNNING!) on the wedding night - she designed the whole look from the furniture we ordered, the linens, pillows, candles, etc. We still look back in awe at how amazing the venue looked that night thanks to Anne. Blade's flowers are a modern classic!

I had the pleasure of working with Anne Kilcullen, owner of Blade, for my wedding. I had a good idea of what colors I wanted, but not about actual types of flowers and what would work best for my summer wedding. Anne had incredible insight into what would work for me and the type of wedding I was having. Every one of her creations was absolutely stunning. From my simple yet elegant bridal bouquet to the centerpieces to the additional arrangements she created for the favor table and cocktail reception area. Anne has an incredible sense of just what type of decor or arrangement is needed.
